Michele Snyder was born and raised in Texas. She received her BS in Family and Consumer Sciences with a minor in Business from Texas State University. Michele started to gain a different perspective on life when her second child was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Since then, she has sought to learn everything possible about autism and has committed herself to teaching and advocating for children with special needs. Michele has completed multiple training courses that entail ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis), the sensory and gut connection, and yoga for children with special needs. When she is not busy being a wife and stay-at-home mother to three children, she likes to practice and instruct yoga, run, read, and attend her church.

Many parents of children with autism approach Michele regularly for guidance and advice. As a result, she wrote Pieces of Me, inspired to share her training and personal experiences as a special needs parent in a way that makes it accessible to more people.
