"Greatness begins beyond your comfort zone." Robin S Sharma. In the past four days our big boy had a COVID test, first panel of bloodwork, and his first EEG. The results were all great, and we are celebrating his greatness! By meeting him where he is at, we were able to effectively prepare him mentally for what was to come. When he was younger he needed a lot of visuals and telling him more than 2 days prior brought about anxiety. As he has matured, we have found he can process better with more time and just conversations. We choose to celebrate these small moments because they are the huge in his growth! Consistency, communication, and meeting him where he is at has been essential to his development of life skills.
